Brooke Tatnell will drive for Reeve Kruck’s Titan Racing USA Team in 2009.

The exciting news was confirmed by both Kruck and Tatnell in separate phone conversations this morning after Australian Speedway’s worst kept secret was finally rubber-stamped.
“People got a bit carried away over the weekend,” says Brooke Tatnell, “Reeve and I hadn’t even met to discuss it by that point, we’d only spoken on the phone. Nothing was concrete until we met face to face on Monday but it was all over the place on the weekend. I guess people are excited about it, and that’s cool.”

There’s no doubt Brooke is excited.
“Anyone who knows Reeve and the phenomenal race team he has put together in the USA knows that driving for him would be a dream come true for so many of the world’s best drivers, and I’m no different. This is an awesome opportunity for myself and my family and I can’t thank Reeve enough for including me,” says Tatnell.

Reeve Kruck is equally buoyant.
“I think this is going to be a really good deal for everyone,” he says, “Daryn Pittman has been a great driver for my team over the years but the time is right to make some changes and I’m excited for Brooke that he’s coming on board. You only have to look at his results in Australia over the last three years in particular to see how fast he is right now and how much he wants to win.”
The merging of Titan Racing USA and Brooke Tatnell makes the Brownsburg Indiana based operation a truly “Aussie” combination now.

“It’s cool isn’t it?” says Tatnell, “I know we can achieve a lot for Reeve and also for Australian Sprintcar Racing. I can’t wait.”

But wait, they’ll have to do.
Brooke has commitments with Krikke Motorsport here in Australia before he joins up with Titan Racing USA.
“We’re planning on Brooke racing with us until at least the Australian title at the Motorplex,” says Shane Krikke, “after that we’ll see what happens and then he’ll join up with Reeve. I’m really happy for both Brooke and Reeve that they can join forces; it’s going to be really cool to see an Aussie in an Aussie car. Brooke is our driver for the Australian Racing and he’s a Titan USA driver for the American races, it’s a win-win for everyone as far as I can see.”

Tatnell is naturally indebted to KMS.
“Krikke Motorsport is a family to me,” he concedes, “I’m committed to their program here in Australia and I’m loyal and grateful for what they have done for me and what we’ve achieved together.”
Reeve Kruck sees it the same way.

“Brooke has commitments to the Krikkes and I think that’s admirable,” he admits, “we won’t run the entire Outlaw schedule this year because he’ll be racing a bit longer in Australia and we’ll miss Florida and some early stuff but we’ll just pick and choose what races we contest. I’m looking forward to it.”
Tatnell has been a long time friend of Daryn Pittman, and phoned the Oklahoma born racer to help out with some potential ride opportunities.

“Both Daryn and I know what it’s like to move in and out of teams,” says Brooke, “I want to wish both Daryn and Mandy good luck for this new chapter in their racing. I assured Daryn I hadn’t spoken to Reeve prior to him phoning me and he knows that. Both Daryn and I know that Reeve doesn’t work that way anyway.”

So there it is, the merging of Australia’s #1 Sprintcar driver and arguably the USA’s (Australian owned) most professional Sprintcar Team for 2009.
Stand back folks…
