Emmas Diary

G’Day, you may not know me my name is Emma Tatnell and I am16 months old. I thought it would be nice to write a colum about my travels and experience of life even though I am not even two years old,  I have been lots of places seen lots of things and have lots of family to chat about and thought you might enjoy my stories.

We have been back in the states now for 3 weeks and I cannot understand what the white stuff falling from the sky is and I cannot stand to bundled up in this thing called a “snowsuit.” I miss the beaches of Australia especially walks at Cronulla with my buddy Zac & his Mum Sheree. I also miss my Australian family heaps and also my vegemite sandwiches. I got to do lots of things while I was in Australia and its also really cool because I have 2 birthdays- one when we are in American at the end of October with all our friends and family here and then my Aunty Kel had another one at her house when we arrived in Australia in November.  I was also lucky enough to have another party at Speedway City who I can thank Wendy Turner for that, it was a great night with cake and also my Daddy Won that night and I joined him on the podium which was really cool.

We had a nice Aussie Christmas with our friends the Harvey’s and Geddes families on Chrissy eve and then to Aunty Kel’s on Chissy Day it was lots of fun with all my cousins. I have also kept my Mom busy while my Dad is racing she does not get to watch much because I am so busy running around the only time she watches him and says she can run faster than he qualified that night. She is not easy on my Daddy let me tell ya- she runs a stern ship.......there’ not much room for slack. We spent lots of time traveling during Christmas week (boxing day) with Nick he is my cousin and he’s really good to me I like him! He likes McDonalds so when he travels with us I get lots of treats!

We celebrated my Mom’s birthday at Warnambool which is Australia Day.
My Daddy always does neat things for Mummy so we all celebrated that night and it was fun. It was also really neat this year because my Aunty Kathy and Uncle Paul came over from America and visited us. We had a great time as we ventured to Queensland and unfioutlyy it rained the entire time we were there. It was a really rainy season in Australia so that was not much fun but better than the snow.

We stayed in Australia longer than we expected because Daddy did not have a job at the time and we thought we would race longer and make some more money so we went to Western Australia for the Krikke Boys race and Nanovich. My Mum could live in Perth she loves it there and not just because of the Krikke Family but its much more our pace than Sydney. We live in a small town in Minnesota and my Mum uses this word that starts with S and ends in T whenever we drive in Sydney. The Krikke’s were fabulous to us and we had a great time on their boat watching dolphins and visiting wineries and got to spend time with my buddy Taylor. Shane was correct in saying it is the most beautiful area in Aussie land. We also stayed with our second family in Aussie land the Day’s. We had a great time with all of them and also Norm and Heather. We miss all of them heaps.

Well that’s about all for now, we are home settled into a schedule which is nice and I am really excited because I am not only going to get to see my Dad race but my Mum is getting back out on the race course and going to so some triathlons this year so my Aunty Noani and I can cheer her on -oh and my Uncle Sonny is going to race some races with us this year so we are really going to have a fun summer if it ever warms up. Our first race is this coming weekend the 19th of April so I will have updates next week. Also, if you have not donated to the GT ALLSTARS yet please do so its for my Granddad and I am trying to raise more money than my parents and I am already ahead of them. The link is listed below and it is a secure sight and and any donations are appreciated.

Thanks & Talk soon, Emma T.
